Payment giant Paypal announces support for cryptocurrency services such as Bitcoin

Payment giant PayPal joined the cryptocurrency market on Wednesday, allowing customers to use the company’s online wallet to buy, sell and hold bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The company said in a statement that from early 2021, its users will also be able to use cryptocurrency to shop at 26 million stores on its network.

Digital Currency Research Institute of the People’s Bank of China and Rural Credit Bank Fund Clearing Center cooperate to promote the application of digital RMB

On October 21, it was reported that the Digital Currency Research Institute of the Central Bank of China and the Rural Credit Bank Fund Clearing Center Co., Ltd. held a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony. The two sides will carry out strategic cooperation in digital RMB application projects. Rural Credit Bank stated that under the guidance of the central bank, it will strengthen cooperation with the Digital Research Institute to effectively implement the decision-making and deployment of digital RMB business, and make better use of the role of the main channel for rural payment and settlement, providing rural credit cooperatives, rural commercial banks, village banks, small and medium-sized banking financial institutions to provide a “one-point access” new aggregated networking service for the digital RMB interconnection platform, to steadily promote the research and development and pilot work of digital RMB in rural areas, and it will play an important role in promoting rural digital RMB related businesses.
